New York City, Changes are coming to health insurance. Medicaid, Child Health Plus and the Essential Plan will no longer renew automatically. So we are encouraging New Yorkes to stay covered and renew their health insurance today.
You must enroll or renew by the 15th of the month prior to the end of your coverage. So if your coverage ends August 1st, you must have enrolled or renewed by July 15 to avoid a gap in your coverage. Don’t wait until the day before your coverage ends to try to renew.
If you’re uninsured, if you need to renew or need support in renewal, you can contact GetCoveredNYC by going to nyc.gov/GetCoveredNYC or calling 311 and saying, “Get Covered NYC.”
Weekend at Park Central Hotel New York
A GetCoveredNYC Specialist will be able to speak with you one on one for free about how to renew your coverage or enroll in new coverage. So check your health insurance, renew and stay covered.
